Douillet

adj. "Which is soft, comfortable,
which provides a pleasant warmth".

“Douillet” is a word that evokes delicacy, intimacy, refinement and tranquillity

“Douillet” is a state of mind, a vision of respectful and respectable clothing, worthy of our cultural and natural heritage.

“Douillet” is a tribute to fine clothing: to noble and local materials, to careful and sustainable manufacturing.

“Soft” is a way of looking at one’s body, one’s environment and one’s peers in a gentle and soothing way.

Local Manufacturing

Doing well here : materials and local factories.

Local manufacturing is a matter of course for us.

Firstly, to ensure that the “journey” of the garment is as short as possible.

Secondly, to guarantee a quality production in the best conditions.

Finally, to promote the actors of our territories and regional know-how.

The origin of the materials, the processing, the manufacture: everything is (re)localized, for the better.

Natural materials

Wearing nature: natural materials for beautiful clothes.

We like noble materials, both raw and delicate.

Correctly selected, ennobled and assembled, the natural fibres are transformed into a contemporary, resistant, light and evolving armour.

That is why we have chosen to work only with the best natural fibres.

As a tribute to nature, we want to honour the natural raw material in each of our pieces.

Recycling

Re-generating: circularity as an art of living.

We encourage circularity.

Recycling is a matter of common sense. We create the new from the old. What used to be waste becomes a resource.

This state of mind is a tribute to past generations and a message of hope to future generations.

The art of repairing, recreating and renewing has been passed down through the ages.

French wool richelieu rib knit.

High knits

Interweaving yarn to infinity: knitting in all its forms.

Knitting is adaptable, pleasant, delicate and functional.

Variable in form, texture and pattern, knitwear is a creative universe.

We like to give life to unique, innovative, colourful pieces that can be adorned.

ecosystem

local

local

Selecting materials and workshops of our regions is a natural choice for us.

Few brands manufacture in France – even fewer use local raw materials.

Yet, in the face of the problems generated by the fashion industry, making clothes here is a radical solution within our reach.e.
By manufacturing in a short circuit, with controlled transformation processes, in quality workshops, we choose a local resource conceived with respect, minimise international transport, and ensure a manufacturing process that is respectful of people and the environment.

We are looking for "the closest".

We are committed to doing as much as possible in France: origin of raw materials, processing, manufacturing, labelling, etc.
If certain manufacturing stages require expertise from neighbouring countries, we accept this reality, but we are still looking for local solutions.

For the first garments we offer, the wool comes from the South East of France and almost all the steps are French. The few stages outside French territory are carried out in border countries: in Italy or Belgium.

Our aim is to work as closely as possible.

In short, we want to do well. Do here.

Materials

We have made strong choices to ensure that our clothes are made of a beautiful material.
Beautiful for the environment; beautiful for those who wear them.
